Itinerary

DAY 1: NAIROBI - LAKE NAKURU

Your safari begins with a early morning pick-up from your Nairobi hotel. You will depart for a scenic drive down the Great Rift Valley, with a stop at a viewpoint that offers a breathtaking panoramic view of the vast valley floor.

Upon arrival, you will check into your lodge for a refreshing lunch. The park is a birdwatcher’s paradise, famous for the flocks of flamingos that often turn the lake’s shoreline pink. In the afternoon, you will embark on a thrilling game drive. Lake Nakuru is a sanctuary for both black and white rhinos, and you will also have the chance to spot lions, leopards, giraffes, buffalo, and a variety of other plains game. After your game drive, you will return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

DAY 2: LAKE NAKURU - MAASAI MARA

After an early breakfast, you will check out of your lodge and depart for the legendary Maasai Mara. The road trip is an adventure in itself, taking you through the heart of the Great Rift Valley and into the golden plains of the Maasai homeland.

You will arrive at your safari camp in the Maasai Mara in the late afternoon. After checking in, you’ll head out for your first game drive in this iconic reserve. The Mara is renowned for its high concentration of wildlife, offering excellent opportunities to spot lions, cheetahs, and leopards as they prepare for the night. You’ll return to your camp as the sun sets, a truly magical end to the day.

DAY 3: FULL DAY IN MAASAI MARA

This day is dedicated to a full, thrilling exploration of the Maasai Mara. After a hearty breakfast, your guide will take you on a morning game drive, a fantastic time to see predators in action. You’ll spend the day traversing the vast savannahs, tracking the “Big Five” and witnessing the incredible diversity of wildlife that calls the Mara home.

The highlight of the day is a picnic lunch served in the heart of the bush, giving you an authentic and immersive safari experience. For those visiting during the right season (July-October), you will have the opportunity to visit the Mara River to witness the spectacular Great Migration. In the afternoon, you’ll continue with more game drives, soaking in the endless views and abundant wildlife before returning to your camp for dinner and overnight.

DAY 4: MAASAI MARA - NAIROBI

Enjoy one last early morning game drive, your final opportunity to capture the breathtaking beauty of the Mara. After a final, delicious breakfast at your lodge, you will check out and begin your return journey to Nairobi.

The drive back is scenic and provides a chance to reflect on your incredible adventure. You will arrive back in Nairobi in the late afternoon, with drop-off at your hotel or the airport, concluding your memorable 4-day safari.
