Itinerary
DAY 1: NAIROBI - MAASAI MARA
Your adventure begins with a complimentary pick-up from your Nairobi hotel or Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA), followed by a short transfer to Wilson Airport (WIL). After a quick check-in, you will board a scheduled light aircraft for a breathtaking 45-minute flight to the Maasai Mara. The scenic flight offers incredible aerial views of the landscape, including the majestic Great Rift Valley.
Upon landing at a local airstrip (such as Keekorok or Ol Kiombo), you will be greeted by your lodge’s professional safari guide and a 4×4 safari vehicle. The short transfer to your camp is your first game drive, where you’ll have the chance to spot animals even before checking in! After a delicious lunch and a brief rest, you’ll head out for an exhilarating afternoon game drive. Return to the lodge as dusk settles for a sumptuous dinner and a well-deserved night’s rest.
DAY 2: FULL DAY IN MAASAI MARA
Today, you have the entire day to explore the vast plains of the Mara. Following an early morning wake-up call, you will embark on a thrilling pre-dawn game drive, which is the best time to witness the predators in action. Your guide will track the iconic “Big Five” – lion, leopard, elephant, rhino, and buffalo – as well as countless other animals, from graceful giraffes to formidable hippos at the Mara River.
A highlight of the day is a packed picnic lunch served at a scenic spot in the bush, allowing you to stay out longer and cover more ground. For those visiting between July and October, this is your best chance to witness the awe-inspiring spectacle of the Great Wildebeest Migration river crossings. The day concludes with a final game drive, after which you return to your camp for dinner and an evening around the campfire.
DAY 3: MAASAI MARA - NAIROBI
Enjoy one final game drive at sunrise, a perfect opportunity for last-minute photo opportunities and to soak in the beauty of the African wilderness. After a full breakfast at the camp, you will be transferred back to the local airstrip. Your return flight to Wilson Airport offers one last chance to enjoy the panoramic views.
Upon arrival in Nairobi, a dedicated driver will be waiting to transfer you to your hotel or directly to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) for your onward international flight.
